Abdel Karim Cristóbal Tillah is a multifaceted researcher who also has a strong artistic inclination. He was born to a Muslim father, former Comelec Commissioner Ide Centi Tillah, and a Christian mother, Dr. Luningning Santos Cristóbal. Abdel is a Muslim who grew up with Christian influence. He is a descendant of the Muslim Royal House of Tawi-Tawi on his father’s side.

He graduated from the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. It is worth mentioning that back then, getting into UP, the nation’s premier university, was a very big challenge because it was the toughest university to get into as thousands of “Iskolar ng Bayan” hopefuls were vying for limited slots; more so to get into the Computer Science Program in UP Diliman which was then a relatively new course and was also the toughest course to get into during that time. The program only accepted 40 students from among thousands of applicants across the Philippines yearly which meant that many of these accepted students were among the top 5% of those who passed the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT). Even more impressive is the fact that Mr. Tillah was able to withstand the grueling and somewhat tormenting UP Computer Science Program at that time, where only 60 – 70 % of the students completed the course.

Mr. Tillah has worked professionally as a Software Engineer and as a Business Process Engineer. He did serious studies in several fields like alternative medicine, history, geopolitics, religion, and music. He has written several articles and commentaries concerning national and international issues. He is an avid historian and has authored an insightful novel on the history of Philippine Muslims entitled “Kris of Justice”, in spite of not being a history major. In 2017, he completed writing his books: “The Hidden Story of the War Between Conventional and Alternative Medicine” and “L + L = P + P: Divine Inspired Global Peace Formula”. He is a member of the National Interfaith Consultative Committee (NICCOM), the first interfaith organization in the Philippines and probably the first in the world. He has also composed melodic and meaningful songs and is a proficient guitarist even though he is not a schooled musician. He is innovative and very much into constructing practical devices. However, his top priority is that of being a Health Science Researcher. He has a track record in providing effective relief and treatment of various ailments, diseases, and health conditions including cancer. Some people consider him as a “divinely-inspired polymath” for his advanced research in different fields and for sharing his God-given knowledge and expertise for humanitarian causes. However, Mr. Tillah believes that it’s not only through God’s direct guidance that he was able to accomplish all these, but also with the help of well-meaning individuals that God chose as instruments to support him.
