Lascañas Allegation

“I am neither pro nor anti Duterte. I agree with some of the President’s major policies while his stance on drug related EJKs and death penalty leaves a lot to be desired. As for Sen. De Lima, I have nothing major for or against her at the moment. With that said, logically speaking, I would say that the statements made by SPO3 Lascañas need to be seriously investigated since the chance that a mere policeman will go against a powerful president who is known to use lethal force to achieve his end, is very low. Even if we assume that the opposition or the US is funding Lascañas to spread damaging statements, the fact that he publicly admitted that he killed two of his own brothers because of his loyalty to Duterte is too shocking and gravely goes against his interest to be outrightly dismissed as a simple lie. Therefore, in essence, the main reasons why we need to look into this are:1) To know if Lascañas was telling the truth this time.2) If he was not telling the truth, then Lascañas and the people behind his actions should be brought to justice.3) If he was telling the truth, Filipinos then have to address the question: Were the president’s actions really bad or actually good for the country not only in the eyes of the people but most importantly in the eyes of God?All these questions definitely need to be answered for the good of our country.”
